The powers that be granted me this gift
I'm the topic of a lot of conversations; if you get my drift

I'm on the field. I see an opponent, I spin
He missed me, I'm rushing for the end zone to get this win
The buzzer goes off. I'M IN, WE WIN!
I see my teammates running towards me, let the celebrating begin
I'm happy, I'm jovial, excited about my score
I did my part, but my teammates, they did more
We were one, we were mighty, we were strong
We defeated a well known team to prove all the naysayers wrong
This is just one game down, there are seven more to go
My teammates and I are ready to get this show on the road
