Eagles Are GHSA State Runner-Up in Track & Field

On May 5-7, the Mitchell County track team wowed the state of Ga & ran into 2nd place at the state track & field tournament.  Coming in behind Athens Christian, the Eagles only missed the state championship by 5 points with a score of 45.  All athletes who participated in the finals came home with a medal & collectively, they brought back a runner-up trophy to Mitchell County.

4x400m relay - Kavoris "KJ" Pollard, Yancey Burns, Diquan Isom, Justin "JB" Scott-Wesley, Cornelius Thomas & Jacorey Belvin - 2nd Place

High Jump - Rueben Jackson - 6th Place

Triple Jump - Jaquan Williams - 7th Place

Discus - Grover Stewart - 6th Place
